- How does New Rule T meet the needs of today’s practice? It meets a need for economy, remote access, and accessibility.
- The relief valve is found in an obscure section of the Internal Revenue Manual – Section 4.30.3.1.2 Business Mileage Reimbursements – Special Rules – 4-25-2011 This sets out several situations where business mileage reimbursements need not include the 3% credit card rule.
- There are many other specific rules and similar relief valves, but for all these reasons, we now include the Internal Revenue Manual as one of the tools our clients may look to for the rules of IRS audit gaming.
